The flagship brand of our company, EMPLAST PVC pipes, is one among the pioneers in PVC pipe industry in Kerala. Started in a humble way by Shri.N.K.Mohanan in 1987 at Elamakkara in the name Sowra Plastic, company’s brand “EMPLAST” became a trustworthy name for quality PVC pipe, during the past two decades.
After a break of few months the factory “Sreelakshmi Polymers” started on 1997 under the able guidance of Shri N.K.Mohanan at Elamakkara which subsequently relocated to Udayamperoor in 2003 with technologically more advanced machinery. Company got SSI registration from Industries Dept, Factory Licence from Factories & Boilers Dept and awarded “Green Belt” certification from State Pollution Control Board,besides registration from Central Excise & Sales Tax departments. The market presence, hitherto confined at Ernakulam district, also increased to Alappuzha and some parts of Kottayam.
The Company is producing Rigid PVC pipes, ranges varying from 20mm to 200mm in commercial grades. Also, we are awarded with the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification for our Quality Management System.
Even at the face of fierce competition and price war, past four years witnessed substantial increase in production, turnover and bottom-line, thanks to the almighty. Presently we have presence in Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Kollam Districts. We are trying to put in high quality professionalism in order to ensure more market coverage and to face the competition.
The installed capacity of the plant is 370kg per hour. As of now, 75% of the installed capacity is being utilised. Our Production Executives have several years of thorough hands-on experience in PVC pipe manufacturing. To ensure the proper supply chain management, Company owns 4 LCVs, which will deliver the goods within the least time up on receipt of confirmed order.
Sreelakshmi Polymers is an “Employee First” company. We have a workforce of 30+ employees as on today, working in shifts. All the benefits like ESI, EPF, uniform etc are provided to them, besides yearly pleasure trips.
